The Artists Table was commisioned for a studio space table, where it would be used for sewing, embroidery, sketching and design work. The table needed to be stable enough for the rattle of a sewing machine, while also have space below for supplies to be stored.
Inspiration for this table was drawn from the photographic and painted history of artist using sawhorse tables in their studios. The concept is similar here, though more stable. The sawhorse legs can be removed for moving, or for use with a different table top. Curved interior legs ensure room for multiple people to be seated on one side should this table ever serve as a dining table.
